John has 21 years experience in construction. He began his career in the field and advanced from a laborer to serve as carpenter apprentice, carpenter, carpenter foreman, assistant superintendent, and finally served several years as a project superintendent. John's career path has taken him from field supervision to project management and quality control, where his vast field experience is invaluable. Over 50 percent of John's projects have been in healthcare, and over 85 percent of those projects were completed in the state of Florida under the auspice of the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA). John has had several AHCA inspections without comments from the state inspection teams.
As an affirmation of John's work ethic and positive relationship with our clients, he was asked to serve as interim Director of Plant Operations for a Tampa Bay area hospital when they unexpectedly lost their DPO. John successfully served the facility for eight months, assisting with their regularly scheduled JCAHO and AHCA inspections and helping to coordinate a major expansion at the facility.
As the company's Field Operations Manager, John visits each of our projects to assist the project management team and review the overall quality of the project, project schedule, corporate and project-specific safety requirements, compliance with the project documents and other issues to assure a superior project is provided to our clients. This role is in addition to the regularly scheduled visits by the Project Manager and the daily reviews by the Project Superintendent.
John and Dave Pfeiffer, who have worked together since 1995, joined forces with Chuck Mathis is 2006. In 2008, they created The PHM Group.
